Fixed Perennial Calendar

Concept Development

The culmination of a year-long research project on calendar systems. Inspired by the federal Metrication Commission of Canada in the 1970s, the Fixed Perennial Calendar Association is a fictional bureau in charge of carrying out the reformation of the current calendar system to a simpler, more efficient—yet still religiously-inclusive—system of organizing dates.

Below is a sample of materials that would be distributed by the FPCA, including an informational poster series and a short public service announcement. This project hopes to demonstrate how effective use of graphic design, when adequately supported by the government, can help change the world.
